Saturday was a busy day in the shop. Not only was it Yarn Shop Day but I also ran an event for the Warwick Poppy 2018 appeal. St Mary’s Church in Warwick is looking for as many poppies as possible, be they knitted, crochet or crafted to adorn the church in homage to the poppy display at the Tower of London.
The day was split into crochet in the morning and knitting
in the afternoon. We managed to make 30 poppies which will hopefully go some
way to decorating the church. The day went so well that I’m planning two more
days, Saturday 22 September and Saturday 20 October. This time knitting will be
in the morning and crochet in the afternoon.
If you want to come along just let me know so I can keep an eye on numbers.
We also had another arm knitting class, unicorn was the
colour of the day. On Sunday, Kati (my arm knitter master) and I travelled to
the Creative Coffee Hub in Birmingham to run another arm knitting class, we
plan to run some more there and at the shop, check out the website for more
information.
Half Term – classes being planned are:
Block print and sew a tote bag
Design and print a card for Father’s Day
Make a pom pom headband
Try your hand at weaving
Sew a make-up bag
